For Danielle

Ok, so I haven't been blogging, and Danielle has called me out on it and tagged me. So since the thought of actually writing anything about what is going on now does not appeal to me, I'll take on her challenge and do the tag. At least there will be something new to read about on my blog!

5 things I was doing 5 years ago:(2004)

1. Living in New Haven, CT in our 3 family house until July of 2004. We lived on the bottom floor and rented out the two upper units. In July we moved into our own house in East Haven. I loved it and I miss it.

2. Driving Brian to the train station early in the mornings. Parking was so expensive so we would pack the kids up at 5:30am and drive Brian to the station. Then I would pack them all up again whenever Brian got home. He spent 3 hours a day on that train going to NYC.

3. I was in a scrapbook group, even though I didn't enjoy scrapbooking. I was invited by my friend, Cathie, who I met at a McDonalds. She was awesome. I miss her.

4. Taking care of 3 little ones. Elijah was 5, Isaac was 3 and Eve was 1. It was an adventure! They were all still at home with me all day. Elijah started Kindergarten that fall after turning 6. I also took them to swimming lessons 2 mornings a week. We kept busy!

5. Took our big summer trip home to WA with the three kids...alone! I made that plane trip with the kids, on my own, more than once! It was a long flight, but always worth it once we got home.

5 things on my to do list for today:

1. Study my A&P. I already colored my skull :)
2. Color Easter eggs with my kids. I already cooked them this afternoon.
3. Sit around while the handyman fixes all our little problems, and the one big one, in our house today. Sure is nice that we don't have to pay him!
4. Keep my house clean. I worked so hard the last few days getting our house clean and I am determined to make it last more than one day.
5. Put my kids to bed and enjoy the quiet night without school for me!!

5 things I would do with a million dollars:

1. A house
2. A car
3. save
4. invest
5. relax

5 places I have lived: (only 5? I've lived in A LOT more!)

1. My childhood home in Auburn, Wa. It holds all my childhood memories...one of my favorite places in the world.
2. Fairfax, VA. We lived there from Dec. 2000-Feb 2002.
3. Allentown, PA. We lived there from Feb 2002-Oct 2003
4. New Haven/East Haven CT. We lived there from Oct 2003-June 20005
5. Bellingham, WA. We lived there from Sept 1996-Oct 1999

5 jobs I have had:

1. Neighborhood babysitter. Erika and I were it for our neighborhood, and we loved those kids...still do, even though most of them aren't kids anymore!
2. Temp worker. I worked one summer for manpower. I spent most of that contract working for a company in Kent. It was so boring! I hated it.
3. Worked in the office at Safeway. Loved that job. There were plenty of things to complain about, but when it came down to it I worked with awesome people and the fun balanced out the horror!
4. Apartment manager. Brian and I lived in and managed some of the WORST apartments in Bellingham. They were something else. But, that was the first place we lived when Elijah was born, so I have a lot of good memories from that short time.
5. Mom. This is the job I've had the longest, and the one I've loved the most. My job description is changing a lot now, different challenges, but this will always be the most important thing I have done.

5 things I want to be doing in 5 years:

1. Be done with school!
2. Be the mom of happy kids who will be 15, 13, and 11.
3. Still be married and happy with Brian
4. Working a few days a week as a nurse.
5. Be growing in my faith, working diligently in my calling, attending the Temple regularly.

Thank you, Danielle, for getting me on the road to recovery from my blogging slump :) I tag anyone who is in a slump and needs a reason to get out of it, or anyone who just enjoys answering lots of questions!
